Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has re-assured Corps Members of maximum security in the state.
Umaru Fintiri gave the assurance during the closing Ceremony of 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Corps Members Orientation Course held at Damare orientation Camp in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The Adamawa State Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta explained that the NYSC in collaboration with the state government and security agencies have special security arrangement for Corps Members.
According to the State governor, corps members are expected to play their own part by being security conscious at all times.
He therefore strongly advised them to use the social media for positive purposes instead of promoting rumours, fake news and as well as ethnic hatred.
Governor Fintiri also urged them to actively continue with the post camp training of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development they started in the Camp.
In his address, the State Coordinator NYSC, Mr. Jingi Denis urged the Corps Members that as they begin the next phase of service, they should sustain the spirit of patriotism, hard work and resilience which they have imbibed during the orientation course.
Mr Jingi Denis also said he hope that the corps memebers will strive to meet the expectations of Nigerians by contributing towards the progress and development of the country.
He enjoined them to perform their duties with diligence and be guided by the provisions of the NYSC Act and Bye-Laws as well as workplace rules and regulations.
A total of one thousand one hundred and fifty three Corps Members were posted to Adamawa State.
