Governor Fintiri inaugurates Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board members.

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintri has inaugurated Board Members of the Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The inauguration took place at the Conference hall Government House, Yola.

Those inaugurated includes; the executive Secretary, Geofrey Garba, Chairman, Right Reverend Theophilus Shadrach, while members that were inaugurated are Reverend Moses Luckson, Reverend Father Anselmn Kachalla, Reverend Bukar Lala, Pastor Biyasa Abraham, Reverend Joel Lamba and Reverend Stephen Stephen.

Others are; the representatives of Southern Zone Reverend Pius Usman Ayuba, the representative of central Zone, Pastor Alfred Enoch Sunama, the representative of Northern Zone, Reverend Father Sixtus Wuylshiri, the representative of ministry of Finance, Justice among others.

While inaugurating the Board Members, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintri represented by his Deputy Professor Kaletapwa Farauta explained that the selection of the Board Members is based on their individual integrity, commitment to duty and evidence of fear of God and charged them to conduct the activities in a manner that will not betray but justify the Confidence reposed in them.

According to the Governor as they are essentially a religious people, they must help their people to satisfy their spiritual hunger through the conduct of seamless religious pilgrimage.

He, therefore said as a government, they have tried to ensure that Adamawa people feel a sense of belonging, urging them to eschew corruption, nepotism and denominationalism.

Umaru Fintri also assured them and the people of Adamawa State that this Government is for all the people regardless of religion, tribe, social status or political affiliation.

Responding on behalf of the Board Members, the Chairman Right Reverend Theophilus Shadrach appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintri for nominating them and for the confidence reposed in them.

He therefore promised to serve with humility and fairness.
