Adamawa State scholarship board to commence selection of qualified female students for special scholarship program

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has directed the State’s Scholarship board to commence the selection of female students who have qualified for this year’s scholarship.

 

 

 

The governor stated this when he received parents of female students who benefitted from the special scholarship scheme by the governor.

 

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who expressed his administration’s commitment to the development of education in the state, especially female students highlighted that they too deserve the opportunity to go to school and learn as the male students hence the need for his administration to ensure that any female student across the state with nine credit and above is been awarded with scholarship to further their studies.

 

 

 

Governor Fintiri said from now henceforth, the scholarship program will be a continuous project and the state government is ready to ensure that all qualified students enjoyed this privilege.

 

 

 

The governor vowed that poverty shouldn’t be reason for any child in Adamawa state not to go to school , stressing that no matter the background of parents the government is committed to provide education up to the secondary school level.

 

 

 

The governor who assured that when the girl child is well educated, they will give good values to the children, adding that the state has now recovered and is doing well and the government will continue on that path for the development of the people.

 

 

 

Governor Fintiri reiterated that his administration is not selective or discriminating, anybody who deserves the best gets the best as long as the person has the capacity and can deliver for the greater good of the state.

 

 

 

The governor thanked them for the visit and promised that his administration will continue to give female students across the state the opportunity to further the their studies as long as they qualified.

 

 

 

Earlier, the spokesperson of the parents Yakubu Inuwa said they were at the governor’s office to thank him for the scholarship awarded to their children to further their studies.

 

 

 

Yakubu praised the governor for the good things he has been doing for the development of state and prayed for more successes as he continues to implement programs and policies that touches the lives of the people.

 

 

 

High point of the visit was presentation of gifts to the governor by the visiting parents.
