Newly inaugurated executives of Fombina Chapel in Adamawa State, pledges to discharge their duties diligently.

Newly inaugurated executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, FRCN Fombina Chapel in Adamawa State, have pledged to discharge their duties with diligence, prudence and accountability.

 

 

They made the pledge while taking both the oath of office and that of allegiance marking the beginning of their 3 years tenure which took place at the premises of the radio station on Thursday.

Those inaugurated were Sakina Ahmad as Chairman, Babangida Galleon Vice Chairman, Jawati Friday Secretary, James Simon Assistant Secretary, Yalsom Harrison Treasurer and Aisha Muhammad as Financial Secretary.

 

 

While administering the oaths to the executives, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Adamawa State Council Comrade Ishaka Donald Dedan, charged the executives to be law abiding and bear through allegiance to defend both the constitution of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ and that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Comrade Dedan who congratulated the executives after taking the oath, urged them particularly the chairman as the first female chairman of the chapel, to see themselves beyond office holders, but also partners in progress and supporters of their colleagues in service, and the NUJ both in the state and the National body of the union.

 

 

In an acceptance speech, the newly sworn in Chairman of the NUJ Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola Chapel, Comrade Sakina Ahmad, thanked the almighty Allah for the opportunity and expressed gratitude to her colleagues for their support and guidance.

 

Recognizing the significance of the office she occupies, Comrade Ahmad said she is aware of the challenges ahead, expressing optimism that with the support of her excos, the members of the union in Fombina FM chapel will be proud they made a good choice.

 

 

In a good will message the General Manager Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola Alhaji Dahiru Garba Muhammad congratulated the executives, urging them to keep focus on their target and achieve more as union.

 

Present at the inauguration were the representatives of Radio Theater and Art Workers Union RATAWU Adamawa State Chapter, members of the NUJ state council and the state Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ among others.
