The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP Gombe state office has signed 77 kilometers rural road upgrade with three construction companies.
Speaking on behalf of the state government Gombe state commissioner of works housing and transport Engr. Usman Mijinyawa Kallamu represented by the Director of administration Abubakar Ibrahim Lamuwa charged the contractors to maintained contract specifications.
Usman Mijinyawa said governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is concerned with quality work that will benefit the present and the future generations.
In his remarks the project coordinator RAAMP Gombe state Engr Salisu Abdullahi thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the support and efforts towards ensuring that all projects in RAAMP are implemented.
Engr Salisu Abdullahi urged the contractors to maintain standard and adhered strictly to the laid down specifications and completion period.
He added that the five roads cost #10.5b with 18 months completion period.
Speaking on behalf of the contractors Malam Sufian Faruk from Grascope construction limited thanked Gombe state government for identifying them and promise to deliver quality project.
