The Executive Chairman of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State Dr Aliyu Sa’ad Yerima has congratulated the people of Hong, Adamawa State and Nigerians at large on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In his anniversary message, the chairman felicitated with the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri CON, for his purposeful leadership and support to Hong Local Government Area. He also acknowledged the support and cooperation of his Council members, His Royal Majesty Tol Huba, Alheri Bulus Nyako, and the entire people of Hong Local Government Area.
Describing the anniversary as a moment for sober reflection on the nation’s journey, he called for renewed commitment to peace, unity and development.
The chairman assured the people of Hong local government area, of more purposeful leadership aimed at improving their lives. He urged them to continue to support government at all levels, noting that collective support remains vital for sustainable development.
On security, he commended Governor Fintiri and security agencies for their efforts in tackling security challenges in some parts of the area and across Adamawa State. He assured that his administration would continue to work closely with traditional leaders, security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure lasting peace and security in Hong Local Government Area.
He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enact policies and programmes that will promote development and have direct bearing on the lives of the people of Hong local government area.
