The Executive Chairman of Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Murtala Babayi, has congratulated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the good people of Adamawa State, and Nigerians at large on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In his anniversary message, Dr. Babayi felicitated with the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, for his purposeful leadership and support to the education sector. He also acknowledged the support and cooperation of his Management team, staff and the entire teachers of Adamawa State.
Describing the anniversary as a moment for sober reflection on the nation’s journey, Dr. Babayi called for renewed commitment to peace, unity and development.
He assured teachers and their pupils across Adamawa of more purposeful leadership by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri aimed at improving lives at the grass-roots. He urged them to continue to support government at all levels, noting that collective support remains vital for sustainable development.
On security, the Board’s Chairman commended Governor Fintiri and security agencies for their efforts in tackling security challenges in some parts of Gombi, Hong and Lamurde Local Government Areas. He further acknowledged the support of traditional leaders and community stakeholders in ensuring lasting peace, unity and development.
Dr. Babayi reaffirmed his commitment to actualizing the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s vision of ensuring that no child of school-aged would be left to continue roaming the streets across Adamawa State.
While wishing Teachers a happy anniversary, Dr. Babayi announced to them that His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has graciously approved the second week of October for the commencement of verification of teachers’ promotion for implementation across the state.
According to him, the exercise will start with Mubi and Numan Zones respectively.
