Gombe residence have been called to continue supporting the tree planting exercise embarked upon by the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes ACRESAL Gombe state office.
The call was made by the natural resource officer Gombe ACRESAL Mohammed Musa Aliyu while briefing the media at this week’s tree planting exercise which was held behind Musa Yola via Sheikh Saidu Imam resistance to some roads networks in Jekadafari.
The natural resource officer expressed gratitude for seeing the way people are happy with the tree-planting campaign. He added that these show clear acceptability of ACRESAL and Gombe Goes Green 3G projects by the general public.
Mohammed Musa Aliyu also explains that planting one million trees each year is part of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s policies to be an environmentally friendly governor.
Some of the regular friends of the project like Jewel Environmental Initiative (JEI)
expressed readiness to continue supporting tree planting across 11 local government areas of Gombe state.
The JEI Chairman Ismail Mai Gombawa also thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for combating environmental challenges and promised to keep doing the needful.
More than three hundred seedlings of economic and non-economic trees were planted this week.
