Adamawa State Government Begins Reconstruction of Numan Library

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has launched the rebuilding of the Numan Zonal Library, a 150-capacity facility expected to be completed within six months.

 

Represented by Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the Governor stressed the need for timely delivery and quality execution, warning contractors against delays and substandard work.

He said the project is aimed at reviving reading culture and promoting learning, research, and educational development.

 

The Governor also urged stakeholders to ensure strict supervision of the project and called on the host community to make proper use of educational facilities provided by the government.

Speaking at the event, tagged, “Revitalising Knowledge Infrastructure for Educational Development,” Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Aisha Umar, and Chairman of the State Library Board, Dr. Akiweta Samaila, expressed confidence that the library would help revive reading culture and enhance teaching, learning, and research.

 

Stakeholders commended the Fintiri administration for its investment in education, noting that the project would further promote intellectual growth and educational development in the area.
