Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sworn in three new commissioners and a member of the State Independent Electoral Commission, charging them to be accountable and responsible in the discharge of their duties.
In an event which took place at the Council Chambers, Government House Yola, Governor Fintiri explained that their appointments was based on merit, integrity, and commitment to service.
While advising them to bring in fresh ideas, work together, and support the administration’s goal of inclusive governance and sustainable development, Fintiri expressed confidence that they would contribute positively to the growth and development of the state.
The governor urged the new electoral commission member to work with other officials to ensure free, fair, and credible local government elections in the state.
Those sworn in as commissioners are Sali Idris Ministry of Livestock, Engineer Muhammed Suleiman, Works , and Chubado Mohammed , Ministry of Energy , while Mr. Iliya Gaji was sworn in as a member of the State Independent Electoral Commission.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Chubado Mohammed thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed in them and promised their loyalty and dedication to duty.
The oath of office was administered by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Afaimu Jingi.
