Adamawa State Governor , Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed his administration readiness to collaborate with the Nigeria Communications Satellite NigCOMsat in a bid to get the state connected in tune with changing times.
The governor stated this when he played host to Managing Director Nigeria Communication Satellite Engr Nkechi Jane Egerton and her team who was on a courtesy visit at the government house yola.
While welcoming the Managing Director who comes to intimate him on services they provide, the governor reiterated his willingness to partner with the agency for the benefits of its citizens.
The governor called for the inclusion of some of the local governments of Adamawa in areas to be covered soon in the broadband connectivity considering the security challenges it has suffered in the past owing to boko Haram insurgency, which has put it at a disadvantaged state.
Earlier the Managing Director NigComSat Engr Nkechi Jane Egerton said she is glad to visit the state for the first time and applauded the governor for raising the bar for the state to be among the league of developed states in the country
The agency, she said is out to serve the state, saying they are currently running so many programs to include the 774 programme aimed to provide broadband connectivity to all the local governments in the country.
