The All Progressives Congress APC candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency, Engineer Ahmed Salihijo Ahmed, has pledged to promote inclusive governance, youth empowerment and economic development if elected in the forthcoming general elections.
He made the pledge during a press conference held at the party office in Jimeta, where he was officially presented as the APC candidate for the constituency.

Salihijo noted that his vision is to build a constituency where every segment of society has equal opportunities to thrive.
According to the candidate, his mission is to transform the constituency through productive opportunities and sustainable development.

He also pointed out that youths play a vital role in governance, budgeting processes and institutional engagement, all of which are essential to ensuring accountability in leadership.
The APC candidate also called on party faithful and residents of the constituency to remain united and work together to ensure victory for the party at the polls.
Ahmed Salihijo further assured the people of inclusive representation, promising that every ward and demographic group, including women, traders, farmers, professionals and persons with disabilities, would have a voice under his leadership.
Some supporters at the event expressed confidence in his candidature, describing him as a grassroots politician with the capacity to deliver democratic dividends to the people.
The event attracted party stakeholders, supporters and community leaders from Yola North, Yola South and Girei Local Government Areas.
