Bauchi Shares New Laptop Computers to 112 PHCs for DRF Strengthening

Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board, has distributed new laptop computers to one hundred and twelve health facilities aimed at improving Drug Revolving Fund, (DRF) across the twenty local government area of the state.

Radio Nigeria reports that the multi-million naira items were procured four months ago, under the Federal Government’s Basic Health Care Provision Fund, with each of them labelled accordingly.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Board’s Executive Chairman, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed said the gadgets were procured to to minimises DRF revenue leakages, digitise the system and ensure accountability and transparency.

Dr Rilwanu Mohammed charged the facility staff, particularly those in charge of pharmacy to handle the items with utmost care, warning that anyone found mismanaging the gadget would be delt with accordingly.

He also warned managers of the primary health care facilities that the newly procured laptop computers were specifically for DRF activities and none of the items should be found in their custody.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the ALGON of Director Primary Health Care, Sulaiman Abdu Kirfi said the intervention was apt, noting it would go a long way in correcting the anomalies in the state’s DRF management.
