Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Toured Abiodun Lgbaja has assured the Nigerian Army of welfare and support.


The Chief of Army Staff gave the assurance while addressing the officers and men of the Nigeria Army 23 brigade at Gibson Jalo Military Cantonment Yola, Adamawa State.


Lieutenant General Toured Lagbaja said he was in Yola to inspect the officers of the 23 brigade and see the challenges they are facing expressing hope that the challenges will soon be over.


The Chief of Army Staff also assured that the current government in an effort to reposition the army, is doing a lot to enhance the conduct if their operations nation wide.


He also enjoined the army not to relent in their efforts to deliver their duty creditably with diligence and expertise assuring them of essential welfare support to aid their operations.


While fielding questions from journalists Toured Lagbaja said the security challenges in the country are multifaceted cutting across all the geo political zones in the country noting that the military has designed many measures including the deployment of troops to conduct kinetic operations in the Northwest, Northeast and other theatres in the country.


The Chief of Army Staff Toured Lagbaja who was accompanied by the Army public relations officer Major General Onyeama Nwachukwu, the General Officer Commanding 3 division of the Nigeria Army, Abdulssalam Abubakar, and other top military officers has earlier inspected the quarter guard troops of the army, were he encouraged them to be steadfast in their operations.


Highpoint of the Chief of Army Staff’s visit was address to the army officers, address of the COAS’s wife Mrs Maria Lagbaja to the wives of the soldiers, inspection of some building and structures of the cantonment among others.
