COME OUT AND ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS FOR A PEACEFUL RE-RUN ELECTION IN ADAMAWA. –observers tell REC.

The Coalition of Independent National Electoral Commission Accredited Domestic Election Observers in Adamawa State has asked the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barrister Yunusa Hudu Hari to come out from his enclave and engage stakeholders, Political parties and Candidates on dialogue for a lasting solution to the forthcoming re-run Governorship election slated for 15th April.

The leader of the observers, Comrade Victor Kalu made the appeal Friday while briefing Newsmen at the NUJ Press Centre Yola.

He said base on their findings, the coalition commended INEC for suspending the election result collation at the final center in Yola to review and critically study complaints and Reports of violence as well as malpractices in some local government areas.

The coalition condemned the continues protests to INEC offices both in Yola and Abuja, describing the call for total review and cancellation of the election at this critical time as uncalled for and fatal to democracy.

The observers further urged INEC to remain resolute and committed to conducting a free, Fair and credible Governorship election.

They used the forum to commend the good people of Adamawa State for exhibiting maturity during and after the elections and call on them to replicate same during the supplementary Governorship election.
