Fintiri vows to provide good governance, seek cooperation and prayers of the citizens

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reiterated government’s commitment to provide good governance to residents of the state seeking for their cooperation and prayers.

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this during while addressing the congregation at the 99th National convention of the Lutheran church of Christ in Nigeria with the theme “let’s hold fast to our hope without wavering ” at the covenant ground in demsa local government area .

 

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked God for the gift of life and opportunity to serve Him and humanity.

 

 

The Governor expressed appreciation to the church for its patience, support and confidence over the years in his administration.

 

 

He assured to continue to prioritize the welfare of the citizens of the state , soliciting for their cooperation as he remains committed to ensure security and peaceful coexistence sparing no culprit no matter how highly placed.

 

 

Governor Fintiri pledged to continue to prioritize education through reforms that are beneficial to the masses especially the payment of WAEC and NECO, construction of model schools across the 21 local governments and the proper feeding of students in schools.

 

 

He said the Government will soon begin the empowerment of 10,000 women, distribution of food items to nooks and crannies of the state, and providing farming input to support them as government works to fight food insecurity.

 

 

Earlier the CAN President Most Rev Daniel Okoh said he is encouraged that the church in the state is still standing strong in spite of the trials and tribulations confronting the region.

 

 

Most Reverend Daniel okpo enjoined them to love one another and always preach the message of peace,

 

 

He appreciated the LCCN for contributing their quota to Christian unity in Nigeria and the globe and also its initiative of establishing a university, urging them not to relent in seeing to its completion.

 

 

Dr Daniel Okoh urged government at all levels not to relent in giving succour to the masses commending Governor Fintiri for giving the Christian community a sense of belonging and transforming the state in all facets.

 

 

In his welcome address ArchBishop Musa Panti Filibus welcomed all who converged on the sacred covenant ground which is significant as they plan to celebrate its centenary anniversary of uninterrupted service to God next year.

 

 

The Governor had upon arrival inspected a guard of honor mounted by the boys Brigade and was entertained by zumuntan mata LCCN.
