RAAMP Gombe State Signs Contract for Road Construction

The Gombe State Office of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) has signed a contract agreement with three indigenous companies for the construction of 74.96 kilometers of road worth over N19 billion.

 

Speaking at the event, RAAMP Project Coordinator, Engr. Salisu Abdullahi, stated that the contracts awarded are part of Phase 2, spanning four local government areas. He urged the companies to maintain contract specifications.

Engr. Abdullahi thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa for prioritizing rural development to improve the well-being of the people. Gombe State Commissioner of Works, Engr. Mai Jama’a Kallamu, congratulated the contractors and advised them to mobilize to the sites immediately, warning that they must respect the contract agreements to receive their full payment.

 

The Commissioner assured the contractors of the state government’s support and encouraged them to report any challenges to the relevant authorities. Auwal Sulaiman, representing SWAGS Great Construction Limited, thanked the government for the opportunity and promised to deliver quality service.

The Project Details are

Lot 1:* Shalfuri-Garin Bakari-Magaba road (7.8km) and Diniya-Daban Fulani with spur to Mettako (10.8km) in Funakaye and Kwani local governments, awarded to A.Y.U Construction.

Lot 2 Kembu-Kidda-Panda to Garin Alhaji (24.99km) in Akko local government, awarded to Grandscope Limited.

Lot 3 Dukku-Zange road (31.37km) in Dukku local government, awarded to SWAGS Great Construction Limited.

 

All contracts have  18-month completion period.
