Gov Fintiri commends DSS efforts in Adamawa State, assured more support

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says the state government will redouble its support to the Department of State Security Services, DSS for effective operations in the state.

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this during the commissioning of a  renovated and upgraded Conference hall and send forth of the outgoing state Director of the DSS which took place at its state headquarters in Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described the Department of State Security Service as partners in progress, suggesting that if the country will rely on its intelligence gathering, it will not be facing its current security challenges.

Outgoing state Director of the State Security Services, Olusola Aguda is a committed and hardworking officer who always take charge of his responsibilities.

 

while describing the outgoing Director as a magic man who is committed to duty being the fourth in the series of Directors he has worked with in the past five years, Governor Fintiri said he is not surprised by the feats he has achieved in the state, believing that the incoming Director will continue from where he stopped.

 

According to the Governor, the DSS are robust and intelligent people whose daily security reports has greatly assisted government in ensuring the security of the state and the government is committed to give its best to support the service.

 

He urged the officers and men of the service to continue to take their duties seriously, work together, be open minded and mindful of their responsibilities to humanity as he solicited the same support to the incoming Director, James Adagba.

 

Earlier in a welcome address, the Deputy Director Administration and Logistics Shettima Buba said they received the news of the Director’s transfer with mixed feelings, but are mindful of the fact that change is inevitable.

 

Shettima applauded the outgoing Director for making impact during his tenure and wished him well in his future endeavors as he pledged their support for the incoming Director.
