Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fimtiri has pledged government’s commitment to collaborate with the federal ministry of water resources for possible dredging of kiri dam for the benefit of the people of the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this while addressing the Lunguda Development Association who were on a courtesy call at the government house Yola .
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated that Adamawa state has now fully recovered from the verge of underdevelopment and is on the path of prosperity with peace and security guaranteed.
While describing the lunguda race as the people he loves and respects wholeheartedly, the Governor thanked them for always standing by him from when he first nursed the ambition to become the Governor of the state up till now.
Fintiri specifically expressed his gratitude to the paramount ruler of the lunguda race for his support, fatherly advice and prayers towards the success of his government.
Guyuk people according to him deserves more than they can imagine, disclosing governments determination to deploy more developmental projects to the area for the common good of all.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri called on his appointees to carry everyone along and be one another’s keeper as he pledged to continue to work with the people of Guyuk and everyone who cares for the success of the administration.
The governor restated that Adamawa state is now working and even oppositions can attest to that, as he promised not to betray the trust of the people of the state.
The Governor charged them to vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming local council elections stressing that with him the local government must work in the interest of the masses.
The governor who gladly noted that this is the first time in the five years of his administration that there is no crisis in Guyuk at the start of the rainy season, added that this is due to the peace building processes coupled with the support and cooperation of the people.
Earlier, leader of the delegation Ibrahim Welye said they were at the government house to congratulate the governor on his second term as Governor and they were glad that the people of the state saw the need to re-elect him owing to his tremendous achievements and successes which accorded him multiple awards for outstanding performance infrastructural development .
Welye commended the Governor for the infrastructural development executed to citizens and tourists delight which he noted was also transmitted to the local government areas.
While soliciting that government should upgrade guyuk cottage hospital to a general hospital and facilitate the dredging of kiri dam and to also convert some of its schools to boarding status so as to maximize government’s educational reforms, Ibrahim Welye gave kudos to the Governor for finding some of their sons and daughters worthy of being appointed to serve government as he thanked him for the untiring support rendered to the paramount ruler of the lunguda people.
Also ,Member representing Guyuk Shelleng at the green chamber Kobis Ari Thimnu who was part of the delegation commended the governor for exhibiting excellent leadership skills that has brought numerous achievements to the state.
