Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a five-member government delegation to lead the 2026 pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
The delegation is to be led by His Majesty, the Ptil Madagali, Dr. Ali Danburam, who will serve as the Amirul Hajj.
This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, in Yola.
Justice Hapsat Abdulrahman will serve as the Deputy Amirul Hajj, while other members include Dr. Umar Garba Pella, Dr. Bashir Imam Aliyu, and Saad Mailafiya, who will serve as Secretary.
While congratulating the delegation, Governor Fintiri noted that the members were selected based on their proven track record of integrity and religious commitment.
The Governor charged them to prioritize the welfare of all pilgrims to ensure a smooth and successful exercise.
