Governor Fintiri mourns victims of Mayo Ladde attack, reaffirms commitment to peace

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has described as unfortunate,‎ the attack on residents of Mayo Ladde community in Hong Local Government Area, which resulted in the loss of lives.

‎The Governor made the remark while condoling the Tol Huba, Barrister Alheri Bulus Nyako, and victims of the attack. ‎ ‎

 

Addressing the people at Kuva  Gaya, where they had taken refuge, Governor Fintiri who described the incident as unfortunate said he was saddened by the news of the attack and noted that the state government remains committed and would continue to do everything possible to maintain peace across the state. ‎

Fintiri commended the military and vigilantes for their gallantry in the fight against insurgency and assured that government would continue to support them, calling for sustained peace that would enable residents go about their normal businesses. ‎

 

‎Chairman of Hong Local Government Council, Inuwa Usman Wa’aganda, while briefing the Governor, confirmed that nine lives were lost before the intervention of security personnel. ‎

‎Also, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley, and Member representing Uba Gaya Constituency, Adum John Alaba, commiserated with the victims.

 

‎ ‎Earlier, the Governor had condole with the Tol Huba, Barrister Alheri Bulus Nyako, at his palace where the Monarch described Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as a passionate leader who has the interest of his people at heart.

He called on government to recruit more forest guards, to complement the efforts of security agencies in addressing the long standing insecurity in the area.
