The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Adamawa State, has called on Nigerians to adopt positive attitudes and values to foster national growth and development.
This was emphasized during a road show held in Yola, led by the Acting Director, Mr. Richard Bala Dangari.
The event aimed to sensitize the public on human rights awareness, patriotism, integrity, and active participation in governance and community development.
In an address, Mr. Dangari highlighted the significance of individual responsibility in nation-building.
“It is the people that build the nation. When you get it right individually, then you can get it right at the national level. Let us pay attention to the things that are important. The attitudes we have imbibed have not been helping us,” he stated.
He urged Nigerians to “galvanize the right attitude” to achieve the change and progress they desire.
Mr. Dangari also stressed the need for vigilance, encouraging citizens to report suspicious activities to ensure
security in their communities.
The Acting Director underscored the benefits of tax reforms, noting that they are designed to support low-income earners and enhance government infrastructure projects.
He called on Nigerians to support the reforms and embrace hard work as a pathway to business growth and personal success.
As the year comes to an end, Mr. Dangari called on the public to shun materialism and the urge to get rich quickly.
Instead, he encouraged participation in decision-making processes, government activities, and environmental consciousness.
“Be agents of change to get change,” he emphasized, adding that Nigerians must imbibe integrity and put their best efforts into their endeavors to see tangible results.
The road show commenced at Mohammed Mustapha Way and moved through key locations including , Hospital Road, Atiku Abubakar Way, and ended at the Federal Secretariat.
The NOA road show served as a reminder of the collective role citizens play in building a prosperous nation and the need for shared responsibility in achieving lasting change.
