The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, urged new governors and lawmakers-elect to embrace their opponents and supporters to achieve a united Nigeria.
While congratulating the winners of Saturday’s governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections, Tinubu said it was important for the winners and losers to initiate the healing process.
According to the former Lagos State governor, the election is pivotal to the growth and sustenance of democracy and democratic governance at the state level.
In a statement on Tuesday, Tinubu argued that consolidating democratic governance at the sub-national level will bring more development and improved quality of life to the masses.
