The new Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Adamawa state Chapter, Reverend Dr.Joel Manzo has commended the outgone Caretaker committee headed by Reverend Gambo Bupwatda for serving the Christian body faithfully during the interim assignment.


Dr Manzo gave the commendation during the handing and taking over ceremony of the CAN affairs held at the Secretariat in Yola.


The CAN Chairman who was impressed with the administrative mettle of the interim Committee said the present leadership will carry along with some members to tap from their wealth of experience, having observed fairness and prudency in the administration of the Christian body.


He further advocates for resourceful inputs and intensified prayers for the new leadership in delivering the task ahead.


According to him, the christiendom can only witness a robust progress if there is unity of purpose among the fold.


The outgone Caretaker committee Chairman, Reverend Gambo Bupwatda who is also the present Assistant Secretary described their emergence on 22nd January 2024 as a child of circumstance.


While accounting for the stewardship of the Caretaker committee for the few months,Reverend Gambo said they were able to generate over seventeen million naira through annual dues, donations, offerings and gifts while about twelve million naira was expended on sundry and statutory CAN activities.


He further highlighted the inventories of property including four vehicles as well as land allocations to the Association.


Highpoints of the handing over ceremony were prayers and inspection of the offices around the secretariat.
