Special Advisers urged to contribute meaningfully to development of Adamawa state

The newly appointed Special Advisers to Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, have been tasked to set the ball rolling in their various capacities and roles in order to reposition the state for more development.

 

 

 

The Special Advisers were given the charge at a maiden meeting of the Special Advisers with the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Awal Tukur and the Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. Edger Amos, at the conference hall Government House Yola.

 

 

 

While addressing the Special Advisers, the SSG Awal Tukur, revealed that the Governor Ahmadu Fintiri is rapidly repositioning his Government for the second term noting that their role in achieving the aim and objective of government is critical.

 

 

 

According to him, the Special Advisers constitute a very important body that will help in achieving government policies and programmes for good governance and actualized the Governor’s agenda for rapid development of the state in the next four years.

 

 

 

He added that the meeting will enable the advisers and the Government to be on the same page especially with the commissioners.

 

 

 

Earlier in his opening remarks, the Chief of Staff, Dr. Edger Amos, welcomed the Special Advisers into the corridors of power of the Adamawa State Government saying that the meeting created an opportunity for role definition and what is expected of the SA in their various capacities.

 

 

 

He maintained that the forum of the advisers was deliberately created to serve as an opportunity for cross fertilization of ideas and as well advise Government accordingly in order to achieve the best for the state.
