Taraba state governor, Dr. Agbu kefas has reiterated his decision to provide empowerment opportunities for youths in the state.
The governor stated this while speaking with the leadership of some group of protesters who protested to the government house, Jalingo demanding to see the governor.
While addressing them, the governor emphasised that he is passionate about the youths and will do everything within his jurisdiction to ensure they are engaged and become self-reliant.
Disclosing some of his plans to the youths, Governor Abgu Kefas said, in no distant time, he will establish an Education Trust Fund to provide loans to students in federal institutions.
He added that with the approval of members of his cabinet, two billion naira will be made available for students to access while they repay the money when they get jobs.
Governor kefas equally said youths will be trained on various vocational skills, which will serve as a means of livelihood for them.
He assured them that as his administration unfolds, he will introduce more programmes strictly for the youths, which will keep them engaged and productive.
Responding, Some of the youths who spoke commended governor Agbu Kefas for the successes his government has recorded in the past one year and for the innovative plans he has for youths in the state assuring him of their unwavering support, moving forward.
