Taraba state governor donates 10 million naira to two-time Africa’s Badminton Champion.

In his efforts to support young talents in Taraba state, Governor Agbu kefas has donated 10 million naira and a utility vehicle to Africa’s two-time badminton champion, Mr Jimkam Bulus.

 

He made the donation when Mr. Jimkam Bulus presented his medals and trophies to the governor at TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, Taraba State.

Mr. Bulus is a native of Kirma Local Government Area in Taraba state who has distinguished himself in the field of badminton.

 

He won the African Batminton Tournament in 2010 and 2011 and was sponsored by Governor kefas to attend the World Badminton Federation course in Egypt.

While felicitating the champion, Governor Kefas said Bulus has made Taraba state proud and has set himself as an exemplary model of focus and determination.

 

Governor Kefas encouraged youths to emulate Bulus’s achievements by staying focused and seizing opportunities to improve themselves.

He noted that Taraba state is blessed with human and capital resources, which, if propoerly harnessed, will benefit the state.

 

Presenting an award to Governor Kefas, Bulus commended him for his support and for sponsoring him to attend the World Badminton Federation course in Egypt.

 

In giving back to society, the Badminton Champion shared his plans to visit the sixteen local government areas of the state to scout for young talents, who would be trained to become badminton champions.

 

Mr. Bulus also appreciated former governor Reverend Jolly Nyame and presented an award to him for contributing immensely to his career success.
