As the 17th Bethel Conference of the Christian Reformed Church-Nigeria (CRC-N) draws to a close in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, Governor Agbu Kefas has expressed hope that the gathering will inspire deeper spiritual growth among believers.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, the Governor urged participants to deepen their understanding of God’s love and reflect it in their daily lives.
He encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and translate their beliefs into meaningful actions that promote peace, unity, and progress in the state.
Governor Kefas also appreciated the continuous prayers of Christians for the development of Taraba State.
In his closing charge, the President of the Christian Reformed Church-Nigeria, Reverend Dr. Isaiah Jirapye Magaji, reminded believers of the need to reflect God’s love through compassion and service to others.
Preaching on the theme, “The Arms of the Loving God,” he drew from Deuteronomy chapter 33, verses 26 to 29, emphasizing that God’s love offers protection and assurance to those who trust in Him.
He assured the congregation that those under God’s care remain secure, urging them to stay faithful and confident in His protection.
The annual Bethel Conference brought together church leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, and other faithful for a time of teaching, reflection, and fellowship.
