The Director General of the Nigeria Technical Aid Corps NTAC, Yusuf Yakub, has empowered Five hundred and sixty four people in Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency, Adamawa State, to ease economic hardship and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the less privileged.

Speaking at the event in Gombi Local Government Area, Yakub said the empowerment and financial assistance were aimed at promoting inclusion and cushioning the effects of current economic challenges.

The former member of the House of Representatives also said support for military personnel and some communities followed a recent insurgent attack in Gombi.

He urged residents to remain united, peaceful and committed to democratic governance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yakub also called on his supporters to mobilise peacefully for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress APC candidates.

In a remark, the Vice-Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Professor Ibrahim Umar, commended the DG for the empowerment initiative and for creating opportunities for Nigerians to participate in the Technical Aid Corps programme in various countries.

He described human capital development as the greatest infrastructure anyone could build.

Also speaking, the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Ahmed Galadima, and the party’s state chairman, Hamza Madagali, urged party supporters to vote for Tinubu and other APC candidates to promote the development of Adamawa State and Nigeria.
