Kano state fire service, has confirmed the death of 11 people due to different disasters, in March 2023
The public relations officer, Kano state fire service PFS Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, made the disclosure to newsmen in Kano.
He explained that, 45 people were saved by men of the state fire service within the month under review.
Saminu Yusif highlighted that, properties worth one hundred and thirteen million ,two hundred thousand naira, were destroyed by inferno last month.
The public relations officer noted that, in March 2023, the agency succeeded in saving over two hundred and eighty five million naira, properties during fire disasters.
He however noted that, in the month of March 2023, the state fire service received 86 fire calls, 43 rescue calls and 10 false alarms across the 27 fire stations across the state.

Saminu Yusif advised the public, to abide by traffic rules and use fire and electric appliances with care, to avoid inferno.
Radio Nigeria reports that, in the last few months, kano state had witnessed fire outbreaks in markets, where the zonal controller of the federal fire service in charge of Kano and Jigawa, ACG Ahmed Garba Karaye attributed the increased cases of market fire outbreaks, to high temperature and surges from electric appliances , during an inspection visit to singa Market .
