EFCC- Defeating Corruption Achievable

The Borno and Yobe Zonal Commander, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Mr. Oshodi Johnson says the fight against corruption is a battle that can be won.

 

Mr. Oshodi stated this in an interview with newsmen at the end of a four-kilometer road work to mark the 2023 international anti-corruption day in Maiduguri.

 

He explained that with sincere and collective effort of all Nigerians, corruption can be defeated.

 

“Let’s come together and face this cankerworm, we can collectively defeat it. We encourage all Nigerians to join the EFCC, at your own level to fight the scourge” Oshodi said.

 

The Zonal Commander noted that with the return of relative peace in the North East, there was the need to tackle the menace of corruption for the development of the region.

 

He called on operatives of the Commission to be more diligent on the task given to them and

continue to play leading role in the fight against corruption.

 

Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress Comrade Yusuf Inuwa and his Trade Union counterpart Comrade Babayo Hamman assured to support anti corruption agencies to address corruption in the civil service.

 

The road walk was attended by security agents, civil society organisations, organized labour, corps members and journalists.
