ADAMAWA STATE GOV’T TO CLEAR ABOUT 300 HECTARES OF LAND FOR 2024 WET SEASON. —-says Adviser on Agric.

Adamawa state government is to clear about three hundred hectares of land across five local government areas as a pilot project for agricultural production.

 

 

To propelled the project for a robust food security in the state,a committee has been constituted by the government to draw a road map on Agriculture and workable modalities for it’s implementation.

 

 

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture,Dr.Thakma Sini Amos who confirmed this development during an interactive session with Newsmen in Yola noted that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has scaled up budget on Agriculture as quantifiable seeds, and fertilizer are on the way for this year’s wet season.

 

 

Thakma Sini Amos advised farmers to always know the source of their pesticides and fertilizer as well as avoid burning of crop residues on their farmlands to avoid erosions.

 

 

According to him, though the rain and weather condition are posing a serious threat to food production,the State Government is evolving new techniques and technologies for a mechanized Agriculture in Adamawa state.
