The Adamawa State Wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has endorsed the incumbent National President, Comrade Titus Audu Amba, ahead of the union’s 2026 National Delegates Conference scheduled to hold in Enugu from 29th to 30th.
The State Chairman of NUT, Comrade Abubakar Faisal Mohammed, confirmed the endorsement on Wednesday during an interactive session with newsmen in his office.
He said about 67 delegates from Adamawa State would participate in the conference.
Mohammed recalled that the last National Delegates Conference was held in Ibadan, Oyo State, where Enugu was unanimously selected to host the 2026 edition. He explained that NUT is maintaining its conventional power-sharing arrangement, known as the “Tripod,” under which the Arewa/North retains the Presidency, the East holds the Secretary General position, and the West occupies the Treasurership.
According to him, Comrade Titus Audu Amba has demonstrated high performance in leadership, a development that informed the unanimous endorsement of his candidacy as unopposed for the NUT presidency.
He thanked the Adamawa State Government for its support and called on other contingents—about 2,500 delegates from different states across the country—to join the move to return Comrade Titus Audu Amba unopposed.
