Adamawa State Agricbusiness support Programme to commence its pilot project of Credit Guarantee scheme in august

Adamawa state Agribusiness support programme, ADAS P, will commence its pilot project of credit Guarantee scheme in august.

 

This was revealed by the principal consultant of the programmme, Aminu Buhari during a stake holders meeting on the Guarantee credit scheme, held in Yola the Adamawa State capital.

 

The principal consultant, Adamawa state Agribusiness Programme ADAS P, Aminu Buhari said the pilot programme will commence on 9th of August 2023 and Adamawa state government had set aside a credit guarantee of five billion, one hundred and fifty million naira capacity that will help increase business activities in the state.

 

“Credit guarantee scheme actually is to provide support and enhance credit provisions for players with the market”

 

Aminu Buhari said, the essence of the stake holders meeting is to unveil the guarantee credit scheme and also guide them on the processes involved in benefitting from it.

 

He said the programme was initiated by the state government for the benefit of the people and will help in boosting economic activities in the state, thereby creating job opportunities and increase the revenue base of the state.

 

“ you must be an active player within the market and you must be a member of organized association and that association as well must be able to unveil your identity management and your capacities of which you are playing within the market place ”

 

According to the consultant, the meeting was organized to discuss the business aspect of the program, which will help business owners and increase their capitals.

 

He therefore called on business owners in the state to utilize the opportunity and increase in strengthening their businesses and for the economic growth of the state.

 

Also, the chairman, ADASP limited, Kashim Njidda said, the Credit Guarantee scheme will go a long way in improving and sustaining businesses in the state.

 

He thanked the stake holders for honoring the invitation for the meeting and equally commended them for rendering listening ears whenever a gathering like this is organized.

 

The Executive Chairman, Adamawa state board of Internal Reverence Hammanadama Jabbari who spoke on behalf of the state government expressed satisfaction that at last the Credit Guarantee scheme will be actualized.

 

He called on Associations and Union leaders to ensure fairness and equity for members to benefit from the scheme

 

He thanked the stake holders for compliance in revenue generation in the state and prays that the scheme will benefit them for the development of the state.

 

In his welcome address, the team leader of the implementation committee, Doctor Garba Ahmed thanked chairman, ADAS P and other stake holders for leading the program, as well as the participants for honoring the invitation and wished them a successful deliberation.

 

In her vote of thanks, the Admin Secretary of the implementation committee, Mrs. Joy Tarfa thanked the participants for attending the meeting and called on them to always come forward whenever they need additional explanation as regards the credit guarantee scheme.
