Deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta has reiterated her commitment to peace building a panacea for growth and development.
The deputy governor was speaking shortly after her investiture as “champion of implementation of united nations sustainable development goals and global diplomat” by international association of world peace advocates.
Tagged “International peace advocate; promoters of peace, security and development”, deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta thanked the association for the honour.
She said such an honour will spore her to do more for the general good of the society.
Professor Farauta emphasized that development can never take place in a chaotic environment, expressing her continues determination and commitment to peace making.
Earlier, leader of the delegation Ambassador Dr. Jerry Abiri explained that the international association of world peace advocates are promoters of peace, security and development.
He said the honour is necessary in view of the deputy governor’s enormous contribution and achievements in all spheres of life, especially peace building, education, community development, security, mentoring younger ones among others, urging her to sustain the spirit.
Chartered fellowship award as “Eminent peace ambassador”, and champion of implementation of united nations sustainable development goals was bestowed on the deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta by the international association of world peace advocates, united nations volunteers.
The association is a world class organization with united nations ECOSOC special consultative status since 2019.
