Adamawa state government says, it will utilize all resources at its disposal to initiate and implement developmental programs for the benefits of the people.
Deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta stated this while addressing a delegation from the National Fiscal Responsibility Commission in her office on Monday.
The Officials from the National Fiscal Responsibility Commission led by Chinemerem Ugoh were on verification exercise to Adamawa state, to verify the utilization of ten billion naira loan acquired from the Zenith bank in October, 2015 by the state government.
The Deputy Governor informed the delegation that Adamawa is known for being prudent and it is glaring in all aspects of governance over the years.
Professor Kaletapwa Farauta assured that government will never jeopardize its commitment to provide good governance through prudent use of resources, thereby ensuring the citizens feel the impact of government in all spheres of life.
Leader of the delegation, Chinemerem Ugoh had earlier explained that their visit was to verify how the facility acquired at one of the financial institutions was expended, look at the rules and guidelines of procurement among others.
He revealed that in line with the commission’s mandate, the overall exercise is to ensure prudence and compliance, commending Adamawa state government for always being the pace setter at ensuring transparency and accountability in using all resources in its coffers to provide dividends of democracy to the citizens.
