Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has charged Batch ‘A’ Stream two corps members posted to the state to engage in skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship development programmes so as to become self-reliant after the scheme.
Governor Umaru Fintiri stated this during the swearing in ceremony of the Batch ‘A’ Stream two Corps Members held at Damare Camp Girei Local government area of the State.
The Adamawa State Governor who was represented by the Chief of Staff government house, Professor Maxwell Gidado explained that the orientation Course gives the corps members once in a lifetime opportunity to make friends not only in all the 36 States and FCT, but also among all the major ethnic nationalities in the country.
According to him, Security arrangement for the protection of lives and properties of corps members has been put in place, assuring them of their safety and peaceful service year.
Umaru Fintiri therefore commended the corps members for accepting their postings in good faith and for taking the bold step of leaving the comfort of their various home to serve their fatherland.
While Swearing-in the Batch ‘A’ Stream two Corps Members, the Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman represented by Justice Kenson Samuel urged the Corps Members to always obey constituted authorities as well as the culture and norms of their host State.
Also Speaking, the State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Mr Jingi Denis explained that the orientation Camp serve as a perfect breeding ground for cross fertilization of ideas and information as well as acquiring experience and knowledge.
He reminded the Corps Members that the oath of allegiance taken is significant, as it is expected to guide their conduct in the Service Year as well have an everlasting influence on their life after Service.
About one thousand, one hundred and ten corps members were posted to Adamawa State.
