Adamawa state has record another tragedy again as an engine boat carrying about 40 farmers capsized in Gurin town a neighbouring commercial town with Cameroun Republic.
The farmers were said to be returning from their farming activities including families.
Information officer,Fufore local government area,Mr.Jangai Abdullahi who confirmed the tragedy to our Correspondent through a Telephone interview said,local divers have immediately recovered 11 dead bodies from the boat accident while rescue mission is ongoing.
The exact location of the sad incident was ‘Kwatan Mallam Ibrahim in Gurin’
Another local identified as Alhaji Adamu Mainama said his family was among the victims of the tragedy.
When contacted, the police Spokesman ,SP Suleiman Nguroje who was shocked on the development said Marine Corps will be dispatch immediately for rescue mission.
The Adamawa State Emergency management Agency could not return calls from our Correspondent at the time of filing this report.
