ANGLICAN ORDAINS 6 PRIESTS,7 DEACONS IN ADAMAWA.

The Anglican church of Nigeria,Yola Diocese has ordained six Priests and seven Deacons with a charge on them to be flag-bearers in propagating the word of God and winning more souls in the Vineyard of the Almighty.

 

 

Those ordained as priests are Reverends Paul Okeke,Apeiker Iorsoo,Gideon Chukwuma Nwachikere,Chukwudi Egbo, Edward Titus and Samson Yunusa.
The new Deacons include; Ord.SGT.Sunday Thomas,Rufus Siman,Ansenmaka Musa, Emmanuel Christian, Emmanuel Ezeokwe, Hebron Innocent and Ogbonna Emmanuel.

 

 

Performing the ceremony at a service tagged “TRINITY ORDINATION SERVICE” at the Cathedral Church of St.John Jimeta Yola, the Archbishop of Jos Province who doubled as Bishop of Yola Diocese, The Most Reverend Markus Amfani Ibrahim said, the ordinands have already passed through vigorous spiritual learning and character for some years as prescribed by the scripture.

 

 

Bishop Amfani Ibrahim Markus who got approval from the congregation invoked some chapters from the Holy Bible in commissioning them to be good Ambassadors of the church.

 

 

He counseled them to work with other servants of God harmoniously.

 

 

According to him,as the nation grow amidst leadership and economic challenges,there ordination is timely in carrying the cross of Jesus Christ through prayers to salvage the country.

 

 

The guest preacher,Ven.Habila Yunusa who quoted Ephesians chapter4′ 11 and 12 said pastors are called to equipped the church and they are expected to assume full responsibility by teaching and winning more Souls in the Vineyard of God.

 

 

The Man of God emphasized that any Pastor that diluted the word of God will be judged by the Almighty.

 

 

The Anglican Diocese of according to it’s vision statement is as a community of believers envisions a true life of worship, Discipleship, stewardship and fellowship,Governed by laws of God and where men will honour one another.
