Taraba State Gov’t approves 7- man L.G autonomy implementation committee

The Taraba state government has approved the constitution of a seven-man committee to facilitate the full implementation of local government autonomy in the state.

 

In a statement signed and released to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Yusuf Sanda pointed out that the committee is expected to counsel Taraba state government on the implementation of local government autonomy.

 

The committee is to be chaired by the chairman house committee on local government and Traditional Affairs, Abel Diah.

 

Other members of the committee are Secretary to the Government of the state, Gebon Timothy Kataps, Attorney General, and commissioner of Justice, Yakubu Maikasuwa and Chairman ALGON, Hassan Aminu.

 

Others include Director inspectorate Bureau for Chieftains Affairs, Lilian Jonathan, and Bala Hussein, while Ezekiel Polycarp is to serve as Secretary.

 

According to the statement, the committee will be inaugurated tomorrow, 15th July, 2024, at the EXCO Chambers, government house Jalingo.
