As the annual Youth Week comes to an end, Christian youths have been reminded to have faith in God to overcome fear and the challenges of life.

The guest speaker, Reverend Pwaveno Edward, gave the charge while delivering a message titled “Faith Over Fear” at Salvation Lutheran Church, Shagari Low-Cost, Yola Town.

Reverend Pwaveno Edward explained that many people are afraid because they lack faith, stressing that believers who put their trust in God can overcome the challenges of the world.

The clergyman said fear can take people’s minds away from God and may also cause believers to lose trust in one another.

Also speaking, the President of the Lutheran Youth Fellowship, Shagari Low-Cost, Mr Teko Innocent, thanked God for the success of this year’s programme.

He said the theme of the Youth Week would help strengthen young people, noting that youths often face different challenges and temptations that could affect their future.

Mr Innocent called on youths to avoid anything that could prevent them from hearing and obeying the word of God.

He urged them to put into practice the lessons they had learned from the men of God, stressing the importance of obeying God’s word.

Some of the youths also shared their experiences during this year’s Annual Youth Week.

The theme for this year’s Annual Youth Week is “Faith Over Fear.”
