A female health worker in Adamawa state identified as Florence Vandi has committed suicide
.
The 22yr- old Florence,who was an indigene of Michika local government area was also a staff of health Department, Girei local government area of Adamawa state.
A statement signed by the police Spokesman SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje notes that, the deceased who resided in a split of Jimeta called Vunoklang in Girei was said to have consumed a liquid poisonous substance suspected to be ‘otapiyapiya’ there by terminating her life.
No any suicide- note was discovered.
The statement revealed that late Florence Vandi took the painful decision of terminating her life few hours after the death of her heartthrob known as Nuhu Boniface who died after a brief illness while receiving treatment at the Hospital.
Police authorities have since commenced investigation into the sad incident as directed by the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa state Command CP Afolabi Babatola.
