Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says his government will continue to support security agencies in the state for peace, security and development of the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this when he received the newly posted Brigade Commander of the 23 armored Brigade, Gibson Jalo cantonment, Brigadier General Paul Kefas Zawaya who was at government house for a courtesy visit on the governor.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Said as the year comes to an end, the entire security situation needs to improve, hence the need to redouble efforts in securing the state.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri prayed for the new Brigade commander to succeed beyond his predecessors considering the fact that he is from Adamawa state and is familiar with all the terrains.
The governor said he will do everything possible within his reach and availability of resources to ensure that he supports all security agencies in the state to succeed in their tasks of making Adamawa a crime free society.
Governor Fintiri therefore wished the new Brigade commander success and also reminded him that he was posted to the state to serve the nation, assuring him of the government ‘s support at all times.
Earlier, the new Brigade commander, Brigadier General Paul Kefas Zawaya said he was indeed glad to be posted to the state and assured the governor that he will continue from where his predecessor stopped and even do more in ensuring security of the state.
Brigadier General Paul Kefas Zawaya, who is an indigene of Adamawa state, took over from Brigadier General Mohammed Jibril Gambo who served in the capacity of the brigade commander, 23 armored brigade division, Gibson Jalo cantonment Yola for sixteen months before he was posted to the Heritage center in Abuja.
