The Minister of Information, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has emphasized that the numerous interventions introduced by the Federal Government will play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of subsidy removal.
The Minister stated this during a sensitization forum organized by the ministry in Kano.
Represented by the Head of Center Federal information center Kano ,Malam Ismail Mohammed, highlighted the government’s commitment to boosting the nation’s economy through various programs.
He said among the interventions introduce by the federal government include Economic Empowerment Program aimed to provide financial support to citizens and stimulate economic growth ,Social Welfare Programs aimed at improving the standard of living for vulnerable populations.
Others were Agricultural Development Initiatives focused on enhancing food security and promoting agricultural growth.
Professor Kabiru Isa Dandago from Bayero University Kano explained the process of accessing student loans, stressing the need for tertiary institution students to be well-informed about the process to enhance educational development.
He also praised the conversion from petrol engines to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a positive step towards addressing economic hardship.
The Emir of Kano, Malam Mohammad Sanusi II, represented by Turakin Kano Alhaji Abdullahi Sanusi, commended the sensitization campaign, noting its potential to benefit grassroots populations from the Federal Government’s interventions.
The Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Baba Halilu Dantiye, Represented by Alhaji Ibrahim Hussein highlighted the Abba Kabir Yusuf administration’s initiatives to alleviate public suffering, including:
He said the initiatives includes Women and Youth Empowerment, Infrastructure Provision,Health and Welfare Enhancement.
Experts made presentations on how to access various federal government interventions online during the meeting.
