Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated the Paramount Ruler of Ganye Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Adamu Sanda, on his appointment as Chancellor of Taraba State University.
Governor Fintiri described the appointment as well-deserved, stating that the monarch possesses the experience and leadership qualities required to succeed in his new role.

The Governor made this known when the Ganye monarch paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Yola on Wednesday.
Speaking during the visit, the traditional ruler said he came to formally inform the Governor about his appointment and to seek his goodwill as he prepares to take up the new responsibility.

In his response, Governor Fintiri noted that the appointment reaffirms the confidence reposed in traditional rulers to contribute to development beyond their immediate communities.
The Governor described the appointment as a testament to Nigeria’s unity in diversity, emphasising that Adamawa and Taraba share strong ties as neighbouring states. He also stressed the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, unity, and peaceful coexistence.
Governor Fintiri commended his Taraba State counterpart, Governor Agbu Kefas, for appointing an Adamawa traditional ruler as Chancellor of the state university.
He wished the Ganye monarch success in his new assignment, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience and wisdom would contribute significantly to the growth and development of Taraba State University.
