Fintiri meets Lunguda community, vowed to ensure peaceful coexistence

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has vowed to ensure communities in Adamawa state live in peace and harmony with each other.

The governor made this known when he granted an audience to the people of the Lunguda community under the leadership of its paramount ruler, His Royal Highness Kwandi Nunguraya Dishon Dansanda II, who paid a solidarity visit to the governor at the government house Yola.Governor Fintiri appreciated Lunguda people for their confidence and support in him.

Fintiri, therefore, assured them that he would do everything possible within his power in the interest of all to ensure that they lived in peace with each other.

He thanked them for the visit and noted that now is a payback time for the government in appreciation of their support throughout the years.

In his remarks, His Royal Highness Kwandi Nunguraya Dishon Dansanda II said they were at the government house to show their support and solidarity to the governor on recent developments across the state.

Dansanda noted that the governor’s move in creating chiefdoms and chieftaincies across the state recently was a deliberate move towards ensuring unity, peace, and development in the state.

In their separate messages, the Chairman of Lunguda Development Association, Ibrahim Welye, and member representing guyuk constituency in the state assembly Sunday Peter both lauded the governor for his developmental strides in the state and called on him to do more.

Earlier, the chairman of Guyuk local government, Barrister Kasa Shalom, said the people of the Lunguda community were at the government house to show solidarity with the governor and acknowledge their appreciation to the governor for his tremendous assistance financially and otherwise.

High point of the visit was a cultural dance by the Lunguda cultural dancers.
