Organizers of the Adamawa Mega Cultural Festival 2025 have sought the collaboration of FOMBINA FM Yola ahead of this year’s cultural celebration, known as ADAFEST.
Chairman of the Media Committee, Dr. John Ngamsa, stated this during a courtesy visit to the management of the station.
Dr. Ngamsa, who was represented by member of the committee, Phineas Padio, explained that the visit was to inform FOMBINA FM of the preparations for ADAFEST 2025 and to request collaboration for live coverage that would reach audiences far and wide.
According to Mr. Padio, the event, scheduled to take place from the 25th to the 30th of April 2025, will showcase the beauty of diverse traditions and artistic expressions across Adamawa State.
He emphasized that Adamawa is home to over a hundred ethnic nationalities, making it one of the most culturally diverse states in the world.
He also noted that the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, is fully in support of the event, which is expected to significantly promote national unity.
In response, the General Manager of FOMBINA FM, Alhaji Dahiru Garba Muhammad, commended the committee for the initiative, noting that the event would help promote tourism, preserve cultural heritage, and attract investment into the state.
He assured the visiting team that the station is ready to partner with the ADAFEST organizers to uplift and unite the people of Adamawa, while expressing hope that the festival would educate the younger generation about their cultural identity and foster unity and peaceful coexistence.
