The chairman House Committee on Finance and Economic Development of the Gombe state House of Assembly Musa A. Mohammed representing Akko north has assured of his committee determination to partner with financial institutions in the state in generating more revenue.
He stated this when his committee paid a familiarization visit to the Gombe state internal revenue service
He said the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON (Dan majen Gombe) is mindful of revenue generation which is key to infrastructural development in the state, calling on internal revenue service to ensure blockage of leakages in revenue generation.
Musa A Mohammed call on Revenue service not to hesitate but report to the house their grey areas interms of revenue generation where it reguires legislative intervention.
Responding on behalf of internal revenue service, the Director Admin and Finance Musa Jonga Hinna said this is the first time the internal revenue service formally and officially received house committee members on a familiarization visit.
He said the internal revenue service is motivated and encourage by the visit, promise to put more effort in the areas of revenue generation to the state.
Musa Jonga Hinna lament that the revenue service from January to September generated over 12billion Naira to the state.
