The Clerk to the Gombe state House of Assembly Barrister Rukkaiya Adamu Jalo has been elected chairperson Forum of clerks of state legislatures of Nigeria.
She was elected at a meeting of the forum held at Johnwood Hotel wuse zone 6 FCT Abuja.
A statement issued by the Chief Information Officer of the house Umaru Ma’aji indicated that Barrister Rukkaiya`s election followed her past track records as the deputy chairperson of the forum, commitment and dedication towards strengthening the Legisture as a force to reckon with in a constitutional democracy.
The statement further indicated that the chief scribe to the House has also been recently appointed as secretary Parliamentary Affairs Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) as well as decorated with a Leadership Award of Excellence by the Public Complaint Commission in collaboration with Public Administration and Social Development Consult, Abuja which could be attributed to her hardwork, dedication to responsibilities and selfless service to humanity.
In reaction to her election, the management and staff of the state House of Assembly expressed gratitude for the feat and wished her a successful and fruitful tenure as chairperson of the forum of clerks to the state legislators, assuring her of their loyalty and support whenever the need arises.
