Gombe Athletics Academy arrived Jos for National MTN Athletics championship with promising winning spirits.
The second season national MTN championship began in style at the opening ceremony Day One, Spotify new young athletes in the competition at the New national stadium in plateau State.
One of the interesting performances in the competition for Youths was the record setting of 400m Race by Lamate Danladi (Bole} from Gombe Athletics Association to Qualify to final, hence brilliant performance on cadets categories Japtha Jacob also Qualifies to semi final 100m.
Another important Athletic on the verge to set records was a cadet female categories Comfort Emila whom Qualifies for 400m finals.
Speaking to press, the Academy Technical Director, prince Simon Ayuba, Deputy Director Babaworo Muhammad appreciate the efforts of the chairman Gombe State Athletics Association Hon. Ahmed Shuibu Gara for sponsoring the whole Athletics officials and Media to make those young talents Athletics realized there dreams.
Mtn championship, is first of it’s kind in northern Nigeria, according to General Manager collaborated with Confederation of African Athletics, Nigerian Schools Sports Federation,world Athletics And AFN, Athletics Federation Of Nigeria. However, they praised the Commissioner of sports Government Of plateau State.
